Narrowness and Blockages of the Tear Ducts
A sufficient amount of tears is not ejected from the eyes when the tear ducts are too narrow or blocked, causing unavoidable watering of the eyes. The primary course of action is to determine whether the ducts are narrow or blocked. If they are narrow, this can generally be corrected with a small intervention. If they are blocked, on the other hand, this requires surgery. Symptoms, in children in particular, are watering of the eyes and frequent infections. It is recommended that medicinal treatment and massage for the more active operation of the tear ducts is applied in the first instance.
